The glorious gardens of Hampton Court Palace were the setting of this years Concours of Elegance… and what a setting it was.
The Concourse of Elegance is exactly about elegance. No race track, no dirty uniforms just pure class and style. Impeccably dressed owners and spectators to match what was well over 50 extremely beautiful and rare classic and vintage vehicles from around the globe. The centre of attention was the five Jaguar D types which were originally competing in 24h of LeMans in the 50’s.
The display of cars was a great mix of Bentley’s, Ferrari’s, Alfa’s and many more beautiful machines including an enormous Gulf liveried Mercedes race car transporter. The sight of snow white Fiat 8V Supersonic was certainly a rare experience.
One thing to say… if you’re into classic cars and you haven’t been there… then you don’t want to miss it again!
