A weekend full of quintessentially British experiences and locations in a gorgeous Morgan Plus 4. Day 2 – Sunday – we’re visiting Bicester Heritage’s Sunday Scramble and flying our drone over the stunning grounds of The Grove Hotel in Hertfordshire.
Beautiful, sunny Sunday morning and sadly my last day with the Morgan, I jump into the driver’s seat, hit the start button and set off for a scenic drive through the British countryside.
My destination is Bicester Heritage and their popular April Sunday Scramble event. Having a very British weekend, I decided to focus mostly on yes, you guessed it – British cars. Our favourite Brits from the day can be viewed here but our number one car was of course the Morgan. I can’t get over the enjoyment of not only driving it but also how aesthetically pleasing it is. It looks good from every angle and the immense amount detail that’s gone into the design is overwhelming. I will miss this car dearly but excited to have yet another glorious sunset with this charismatic roadster as I plan to drive for dinner in Hertfordshire’s most picturesque grounds of The Grove Hotel.
As I am on my way to the Grove, I stop off for a drink and can’t resist taking a couple more snaps of the car to treasure some memories with it.
As I carry on driving I find a sweet spot when it comes to speed…Plus 4 becomes a silent cruiser at 70MPH in fifth gear. That’s where you get a perfect balance of the wind and exhaust noise which makes the drive even more enjoyable.
I get to The Grove just in time to catch the sun setting behind the hotel’s grand building. In no time, I pull out my cameras and drone to capture the final few images and what a sight this is!
A glorious end to a remarkable weekend. Could it get any more British? I don’t think so!

BEAUTIFUL, ASTONISHING, HANDSOME, DELIGHTFUL and IRRESISTABLE. I want one!
